Established in 2002, experience since 1998. I worked at Circuit City in Brick Town, NJ selling audio/video equipment, however could never demo the equipment properly. Therefore I decided to take apart the entire audio/video department to set up the demos appropriately. After two days of reconstruction and the store manager breathing down my neck, I completed the project. Customers would now be able to see and hear what the equipment could actually do.

“Lets start selling!”

The store manager started bringing customers to my department so I could sell and have the equipment “faux” installed into their homes. After installing a few systems I needed to find a way to make it easier for customers to use their new audio/video equipment and to make their experience more enjoyable.

I realized that working at the big box store wasn’t going to work any longer. I needed a place that was more particularized to what the customers wanted. So I decided to move to a mom and pop audio/video store called Rands Camera and Hi-Fi in Toms River, NJ.

Working at the new shop gave me more flexibility to order custom parts. Making it possible to install equipment in a closet and still be able to control it. “Though we love the look of the equipment and want to display it, not everyone does.” I was also now able to install multi-zone audio systems using in-wall, in-ceiling speakers and keypads. Plus, was was now installing custom systems into homes all over New Jersey. Things were going great!

After a couple of years, I was getting much busier. The demand for custom home installations was becoming so substantial that I went from working in the store full time to part time; then to two days a week.

I knew that one day I wanted to have my own business in audio/video, so there came a time when I had to hand in my two weeks notice and go off on my own. Thus the birth of jrb audio/video inc.

jrb has been continuing to evolve from multi-zone audio/video systems to complete home automation. I have been installing home automation since 2006 throughout the east coast. I train on these systems everyday and even have them in my own home. I have a love for all things audio/video and it showed in my work.

I feel that a home automation system that ties everything together, and I do mean everything, makes the home that much more enjoyable to live in. I am able to make the home just another extension of you; and I am happy to be a part of enhancing my customers lifestyle.

Fast forward into the roaring 20’s, that is 2020, jrb would now like to share the knowledge for everything Consumer Electronics thus the evolution of jrb moving into Sales and Support for the Consumer Electronics Integrator!

Welcome to the NEW jrb!
